States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America (SIGLA), the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), and the Georgetown Americas Institute (GAI) are pleased to invite all Georgetown University undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, or faculty interested in legal and political institutions to the 2025 SIGLA Hackathon. Using SIGLA data, participants will collaborate to analyze key questions and uncover new insights about governance in Latin America.
SIGLA is an online multilingual database that provides systematic information on legal and political institutions in Latin America. By freely disseminating accurate information about states and institutions of governance in Latin America, SIGLA aims to enhance government transparency and empower scholars, government actors, business leaders, and civil society organizations in the region and around the world to conduct empirical research and make well-informed policy, commercial, and advocacy decisions.
Registration is required. This event is only open to Georgetown University community members.
