Theodore Kahn is director of Control Risks’ global risk analysis practice for the Andean region. He advises private sector clients on political, regulatory, economic and security developments in Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, and Guyana, with a focus on energy, mining, infrastructure, technology, and finance. Before joining Control Risks, Theodore was a researcher at Fedesarrollo, where he led projects on competitiveness, public sector reform, and electoral institutions. He has worked as consultant at the IDB and the World Bank. He holds a PhD in international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a B.A. in political science from Harvard University.
