The Georgetown Americas Institute and the Center for Latin American Studies at Georgetown University are pleased to partner with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the Institute of Hispanic Studies at Korea University to present the conference “The New International Order and the Global South: Expanding Horizons for Korea–U.S. Strategic Cooperation.”
The forum will bring together senior officials, academics, policy experts, and leaders from the private sector from the Republic of Korea, the United States, and Latin America to examine opportunities and strategies for deeper cooperation in engaging the Global South, while fostering a shared understanding of evolving geopolitical and economic security dynamics. As South Korea and the United States navigate an increasingly complex international environment, cooperation with countries across Latin America and the broader Global South has become an important area for advancing shared interests.
