This course provided a comprehensive overview of the key political, economic, and social forces shaping Latin America and the Caribbean today. Through lectures and discussions with leading experts from academia, international financial institutions, and the private sector, participants examined critical issues such as electoral dynamics in the United States and their implications for the region, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and evolving challenges in public security and crime. The program also explored migration trends within the region and toward the United States, macroeconomic policy and fiscal challenges, tax reform experiences, climate change and energy transition, and the role of multilateral development institutions.
