Christian Jaramillo is managing partner at On Point, an economic consultancy based in Bogotá, Colombia. He holds mechanical engineering and physics degrees from Universidad de Los Andes and a M.A. and a PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan. His professional interests are in fiscal policy and regulated markets, with a focus on public services and energy. He was Director of the Colombian Energy and Gas Regulatory Commission and the Colombian National Energy Planning Unit; and Deputy Director for the Colombian Tax and Customs Administration and the National Statistics Department. He has been a member of various boards of directors and since 2011 teaches Public Economics and Energy Regulation at Universidad del Rosario.
