Verónica Calderón is another contributor. She has been working as a journalist for 20 years and currently works as the News Bureau Editor at Univision Noticias in Mexico City. From 2009 to 2016, she was one of the editors at the international section of the America’s edition of Spain’s “El País” newspaper. She was in the founding team of the Spanish section of “The New York Times” and has collaborated, among others, with the BBC, the Deutsche Welle, the Canadian CBC and Spain’s Cadena SER. She began her career at Morelia’s news journal, “Provincia”, located in Michoacán, one of her natal Mexico’s most dangerous states. Years later, she joined the Masters program in Journalism offered by “El País” newspaper. She is a Club América fan and never eats pineapple pizza.
