Georgetown Americas Institute Launches Spanish Current Affairs Podcast ‘Y Esto No Es Todo’
On May 23, the Georgetown Americas Institute (GAI) launched Spanish-language current affairs podcast Y Esto No Es Todo, which airs from Tuesday through Friday at 6:00 a.m. ET

Managed by a premier research institute at Georgetown University, the podcast features newsworthy guests as well as scholars, analysts and journalists that go beyond the daily headlines on the most pressing issues facing the Americas. Juan Carlos Iragorri, a Colombian journalist with more than three decades of experience, hosts the podcast along with Paz Rodríguez Niell of Argentina’s La Nación,and Jorge Espinosa from Colombia’s Caracol Radio.
Since its launch, the podcast has featured Alejandro Werner of the GAI, Marty Baron, former director of the Washington Post, Carlos Malamud, researcher at the Real Instituto Elcano, Carolina Jiménez, president of the Washington Office on Latin America, and other, addressing the economic, social and political issues currently facing the Western Hemisphere.
Iragorri, who previously produced a Spanish-language podcast for the Washington Post, is excited to reinforce the connection between journalism and academia.

Together, Iragorri, Neill, and Espinosa bring more than 60 years of journalistic experience covering Latin America and the world. Iragorri also directs the Colombian opinion show Voces RCN by RCN Radio. Espinosa forms part of the morning group of journalists at Caracol Radio, one of Colombia’s highest rating radio stations, and Rodríguez Neill has been a political journalist at the Buenos Aires newspaper La Nacion for over 18 years.
GAI Director Alejandro Werner is optimistic about the show’s potential for impact.

GAI was founded to provide a platform for dialogue, research, and impact around the key challenges facing Latin America and the hemisphere. The institute aims to advance research, teaching, and impact in the Americas across issues of governance, economic growth and innovation, social and cultural inclusion, and sustainability and the environment. Alumnus Rolando Gonzalez-Bunster (C’68) and his wife Monica Gonzalez-Bunster (Parents ’00, ’05, ’14, ’16) established the institute with a generous gift to Georgetown.
