Latin America in the Global Economy

Related: Latin America in the Global Economy

The Georgetown Americas Institute’s Latin America in the Global Economy (LAGE) program engages experts in academia, government, the private sector, and civil society in events and panels to advance research and promote dialogue around the most critical economic challenges facing the region. A critical focus of these events is the emerging position of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in a new global economic trade architecture characterized by deep structural changes.

During summer 2023 the Georgetown Americas Institute is hosting three events in the Latin America in the Global Economy program that bring together policymakers and other experts to discuss the growing trend of nearshoring investments in North America, particularly in Mexico.
